"Center for development of students' initiatives" (CDSI)

registered as information-educational institution “GEDEVS” in May 2011 in Minsk.

Mission

to promote development of independent, strong, democratic student movement in Belarus.

Strategic aims

1) Promote the emergence of new student initiatives and student leaders
2) Provide assistance in strengthening existing democratic student initiatives
3) Promote democratization of existing student initiatives in universities
4) Promote the development platforms of interaction of student activists and initiatives

Target groups

student initiatives, organisations, individual potential and existing leaders, coalitions of existing student initiatives

CDSI focused on the development of student initiatives which:

1) protect students rights and freedoms,
2) promoting ideas of democracy and human rights in educational sphere,
3) represent interests of students at different levels,
4) concerned with education issues.

CDSI provides the following services

- Expert consulting in capacity-building and activities; 
- Organizing and providing educational activities aimed at developing leadership skills for students and advocacy campaigns for defending student rights and interests;  
- Assistance in finding resources for projects and campaigns;
- Assistance in finding partners in Belarus and abroad;
- Technical assistance.

CDSI is always open for cooperation with organisations and initiatives interested in joint activities!
